The Station Grille, located in Dutchess County on Route 55 in Poughquag, is a young restaurant that has only been open for three years. Earlier this month, it announced on Facebook that it had made the hard decision to close.

"After much thought and soul searching, we have come to the unfortunate conclusion that we must permanently close our doors and move on to a new chapter of our lives," the owners said on Facebook.

They also thanked staff, customers, family, and friends for their support.

The reason for the closure was not given. Their last day was Sunday, Oct. 6.

Many comments were posted on Facebook, almost all mentioning the music from local musicians, the fun of karaoke night, and the good food.

Others commented on the staff and the "classy" feel of the restaurant.

No word yet on what might take its place.
